As with any purchase, it’s prudent to first decide how much you plan to spend when setting out to fulfill your log-home dream. Knowing that amount up front will help you calculate how much you can allocate to your Heritage Log Homes package and will likely help you with your selection when choosing your home plan.

Once you’ve come up with an overall budget estimate, keep in mind that some portion of that amount will need to be spent on your home site, if you haven’t already purchased one.

Another important point to consider is that the price of your log-home package does not include your contractor’s costs for preconstruction, home assembly or finishing. Depending on location you will also want to consider codes, restrictions, fees, permits, and engineering requirements.

Finally, if you plan on furnishing your new log home, you’ll need to set aside enough of your budget to cover those costs.
