A Bent is a structure framed element that is traditionally built on the ground and “raised” into place.  A Bent will separate a structure into “bays.”  A Bent can be one, two, or how ever many stories you desire tall.  Typically the “roof” structure will identify the Bent style: King Post or Hammer Beam to name just two.  Heritage has four Primary Bent standards, each with varied options.  Custom Bents are available upon request.

The Purlins/Rafters have been left out of the first bay in the illustrations below for clarity.
